So, here we have a tale of childhood love turning into a lifetime partnership that you might take an inspiration from. Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal tied the knot in a star-studded yet small intimate ceremony on January 24, 2021. Varun met his now-bride Natasha when they were classmates in the Meneckji Cooper where they did their schooling and resided close to each other in Juhu as they grew up. Natasha Dalal is an eminent fashion designer with her own fashion house named ‘Natasha Dalal Label’. A wedding tailored to the pandemic restrictions, the ceremony took place in The Manor House in Alibaug, Maharashtra with a small guest list with friends and family attending totalling to only 50 guests. The elegant decor was designed by Evershoppe by Sumit Ghai.
The celebrations began with the afternoon Mehendi by Veena Nagda with lavish food catered by Intercontinental Mumbai and The Mansion House for the A-list guests. A delayed Haldi took place (delayed due to the festivities of the previous day where DJ Bosco made everyone groove!). The Baarat began at 7 pm. Bucking tradition amusingly, Varun entered the wedding on a quad bike instead of a ‘ghodi’ with the Baarat following right behind.
The bride and the groom wore matching ivory outfits for the pheras with Varun wearing a dashing Sherwani with a hint of powder blue and Natasha in a gorgeous lehenga with gold and silver embroidery. The couple made food arrangements for the shutterbugs who were dying to take photos of the newlyweds, a gesture received with much delight by the media and netizens alike.
Among the Bollywood elites in attendance were Karan Johar, Manish Malhotra, Shahank Khaitan, Zoa Morani, and more. The ceremonies were kept under wraps with no photos being allowed to be left outside to the media. However, after the ceremonies were complete we got to see Varun and Natasha in breathtaking attire that will leave you awe-struck, designed by Manish Malhotra and Natasha Dalal herself respectively. The first photo posted by Varun Dhawan was from their wedding ceremony followed by sneak peeks of the Haldi and Mehendi ceremonies. After Varun started sharing photos of the event, more photos and guests from the guests were being posted to the delight of fans.
